SA/NT Chapter: Reputation, relevance and relationships. What is PR today?
What is PR Today? explores how contemporary public relations helps schools build and protect reputation, relevance and relationships with their communities.
Rather than focusing solely on media coverage, the session will explore how PR can increase visibility, support enrolments and strengthen trust among parents, students and the wider community
The session will also unpack how schools can prepare for and respond to issues such as cyber incidents, safety concerns, student and teacher behaviour and social media flare ups.
Educate+ members will gain a clearer understanding of how integrated PR – both day to day and when an issue emerges – can help schools shape perceptions, maintain confidence and keep control of their narrative.
A great session for Principals, too!
Three Key Take Aways:
- PR is a reputation and enrolment lever, not just a media function
- Issue preparedness is treated as core PR, not a separate crisis function
- The goal is narrative control through integration
