SA/NT Chapter Annual General Meeting [AGM] 2026 & PD session
The SA/NT Chapter Committee invites our members to join us for our Annual General Meeting and a Professional Development session presented by Dr Colin Taylor.
The AGM is an opportunity to learn more about the work being done at a Chapter level, both current initiatives and achievements, as well as future goals.
Following the AGM, we are pleased to welcome Dr Colin Taylor, Principal Consultant, Empirical Philanthropy, as our Guest Speaker. Dr Taylor will be talking about the future of Advancement in educational Institutions. A great talk not to be missed.
Are We Too Busy to See What’s Changing?
Three Challenges That Will Shape the Future of Advancement
Advancement professionals are busy. Super busy. But are we making enough time to think about the forces that will shape the future of our profession?
There are three areas that deserve serious attention right now: Artificial Intelligence, our changing communities, and the enduring stories our institutions tell. What happens when AI changes how we work? How are donors, alumni and supporters changing their relationship with institutions? And in a world of growing complexity and declining trust, how important is a clear and compelling institutional narrative? Institutions increasingly depend on their communities not only for philanthropy, but also for advocacy, legitimacy and trust. Understanding these shifts is not someone else’s job. It is a core responsibility of Advancement.
This session will challenge participants to lift their eyes from immediate activity, think strategically about the environment in which they operate, and consider practical steps they can take to help their institutions navigate the years ahead.
