We are seeking a warm and accomplished professional for the position of Registrar at SCEGGS Darlinghurst. This is a full time, permanent leadership role commencing in January 2027, or earlier if desired by the successful candidate.

Reporting to the Head of School, the Registrar is responsible for the Enrolment and Admissions process for the School. This includes overseeing all applications from initial enquiry to Enrolment; coordinating the Open Mornings, orientations and school tour programs; managing interviews, offers of Enrolment, waiting lists and withdrawals; and coordinating the scholarship application processes. The Registrar is responsible for the Enrolment database, ensuring accurate and secure record keeping and that Enrolment policies are applied consistently and fairly at every stage. They also coordinate communication with all prospective families and support the transition process for them into and out of the school.

As a strategic thinker, the successful applicant will be able to use data to identify Enrolment trends and make recommendations to the Head of School. They will also produce reports for senior staff and the Board of Directors analysing enrolment data such as enquiry numbers, conversion rates and attrition information as required. The Registrar also leads staff in a small Enrolments team.

As the primary point of contact for prospective families, the successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator in every form, a passionate advocate for girls’ education and able to clearly articulate the vision, values and experiences of a SCEGGS education. They will be welcoming, discreet and highly professional, building positive relationships while responding to enquiries and guiding applicants through the Admissions process with transparency and care.

The successful candidate will be highly organised and exhibit outstanding attention to detail in policy, process, compliance and communications. As a person of warmth and integrity, they will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with families while upholding school policies and expectations. They will enjoy regular liaison with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will also have the technical expertise to manage an enrolment database and produce key reporting data as required.

The successful applicant will be committed to the life of the school and be supportive of its Christian ethos. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a similar role may be an advantage.
