Susanna Wills-Johnson
Susanna (Suze) Wills-Johnson has extensive experience in the education and for-purpose sectors. She has worked for three different universities, both here and in NSW, with a career highlight being a foundation staff member at Notre Dame Sydney, where she was tasked with recruiting the first cohort of 440 students. Suze established the marketing, admissions and community engagement functions at Carmel School in Dianella and, more recently, has focused her efforts on advocacy, engagement and communications work in community services.
When at Carmel, Suze was a member of educate+ and presented at both State and International conferences. While no longer directly working in the sector, Suze’s love for education communications, marketing, and engagement remains strong. The challenge of working on the intangible ‘product’ of education is genuinely interesting to Suze, and she loves the opportunities it creates critical, out-of-the-box thinking. With roles and experiences that span reputation management, crisis communications, and campaign development and execution to CRM and CMS procurement and management, giving days, and alumni engagement, Suze is well-versed in the unique, challenging, and fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants environment of the education sector.
As Director of Geist Consulting Australia, Suze brings to her clients highly developed cultural intelligence, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, combined with high-level expertise in marketing, communications, and community engagement.
