Dr Nicole Bassett
Dr Nicole Bassett is the Director of Fundraising for the New Zealand Graduate School of Medicine at the University of Waikato, where she is leading the development of strategic partnerships and philanthropic support for New Zealand’s first graduate-entry medical school.
Nicole brings more than 20 years’ experience in major gifts fundraising across the education and healthcare sectors, having held advancement and philanthropy roles with organisations including the University of Auckland. Her expertise spans donor engagement, stewardship, relationship management, and strategic fundraising initiatives.
Nicole is also a former President of the educate+ New Zealand Chapter and remains a passionate advocate for the Advancement profession and the power of meaningful community engagement.
