Hi Alice, We do over 100 interviews for Year 7. We start with an Engagement session where the Principal, Head of Secondary and Head of Teaching and Learning give a presentation for about an hour. There is an optional tour beforehand in groups led by students. We do this to ensure that everyone understands what our school offers (Vision, values and key selling points) and answer any questions they may have. This cuts down on time spent on individual tours and answering questions at interview.
Our interviews are done by the Head of Secondary and her Deputies (Deans). Interviews are 20 minutes long with a 10 minute buffer (in case they go over). We conduct them over the course of a week.
Families are then offered places and given a week to accept.
