Scotch College Adelaide (Scotch) is an ambitious and aspirational independent coeducational ELC–12 school that exists to know, nurture and challenge all within its community.

Scotch was founded in 1919 by a philanthropic group of Presbyterian families as a memorial for a community recovering from World War One. Philanthropy is therefore at the core of everything they do and it is through the generosity of their community that they continue to achieve their educational aspirations and vision.

In 2026, Scotch is now a thriving community of over 1300 students from ELC through to Year 12 across two campuses, approximately ten minutes from the CBD in Torrens Park in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. They are preparing to take the next significant step—mobilising support for a new and exciting pipeline of transformational projects. Scotch seeks a new Director of Philanthropy who will guide the strategic development of their next phase of philanthropic growth.

Reporting to the Principal and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Philanthropy will enjoy the support and collaboration of a committed internal community. A As a strategic senior fundraising professional, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to philanthropy and its transformative impact on education, together with the ability to engage and communicate authentically with diverse communities, groups, and individuals.

The College is keen to secure the right candidate as soon as possible so will be encouraging informal conversations with the Principal as candidates show interest.
