Melbourne Grammar School has an exciting opportunity for Development Manager to join and work collaboratively with the Community Relations team and Senior Leadership within the School. The Development Manager will work directly with members of our community to develop meaningful relationships that result in philanthropic donations to Melbourne Grammar School.
Melbourne Grammar School is entering the second phase of an ambitious comprehensive fundraising campaign, and the Development Manager role will make a material contribution to the future of our students and our school.
The Development Manager is committed to meaningful engagement with a portfolio of current and prospective donors to build enduring relationships and secure transformational gifts, working towards agreed targets for cultivation, solicitation (Asks) and stewardship of major donors, including oversight for events and communications related to major donors. The successful candidate will focus on major gift donations ($25,000 and up) to the School and converting regular giving donors into major gift donors.
The core responsibility of the Development team is to secure ongoing philanthropic investment that will continue to support the School.
You Will:
- Under the guidance of the Head of Development, plan and deliver a range of giving programs – including mid-level giving, annual and regular giving, and bequests – that help build and strengthen participation and philanthropy within the MGS Community.
- Personally, solicit gifts for giving programs from key constituents.
- Manage a portfolio of potential major, and mid-level gift donors whilst identifying prospective donors.
- Actively contribute to the Development team and prospect management processes, identify prospective principal, major and mid-level donors and bequest prospects
- Maintain accurate records of donor activity in fundraising database.
- Attend Development and Community Relations events, as required.
- Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Employee Working with Children Clearance.
