Tintern Grammar is seeking a highly organised and proactive Community Relations Assistant to join our Advancement team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Alumni and Community Manager and working closely with the Director of Advancement, this role contributes to the delivery of meaningful engagement initiatives across alumni relations, community engagement, admissions and marketing. The Community Relations Assistant plays a key role in planning and coordinating alumni and community events, maintaining accurate records and databases, supporting communications, and ensuring strong engagement with past, current, and future members of the Tintern community.
This is an ongoing part time (approximate 0.75FTE) position, working 5 days a week, to start immediately or a date to be agreed.

About You
You are an organised and proactive professional who enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships. You bring strong coordination capability, attention to detail and a genuine interest in community engagement within a school environment.
Your experience and capabilities may include:

  • Coordinating alumni and community events, including reunions and fundraising activities
  • Liaising with alumni ambassadors, community group leaders, and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting event planning, permits, logistics, promotion, and post event reporting
  • Maintaining accurate alumni and community records in Synergetic and related systems
  • Assisting with communications, newsletters, and website content updates
  • Providing administrative support to the Advancement team, including Admissions and Marketing
  • Acting as a first point of contact for community-related enquiries
  • Providing reception relief and attending events, including some after hours commitments, as required
  • Holds valid WWCC (working with Children Check)
