Leading Teams is a practical, insight-driven session facilitated by Sarah Sutter, designed for school and education leaders who want to strengthen collaboration, clarity and strategic impact across advancement functions. In this session, we’ll explore:
What ‘integrated advancement’ is and why it matters
Understand the principles of being integrated even when teams operate independently and why alignment across marketing and communications, engagement, enrolments and admissions and other non-teaching teams is critical to achieving strategic goals.

Consider a range of advancement structures and operating models, recognising that context matters. Participants will reflect on what works best for their School’s size, culture and priorities.

Sarah brings more than 25 years of national and international leadership experience to her work, drawing on her background as a former CEO, senior executive and elite athlete who represented Australia in netball. Having experienced both the highs of achievement and the pressures of leading through complex change, she blends the discipline and resilience of elite sport with empathy, insight and strategic thinking developed through leading diverse teams and organisations.
Her approach is grounded in the belief that leadership growth starts from within. Through coaching and workshops, Sarah focuses on uncovering strengths, addressing blind spots and embedding wellbeing into leadership practice, supporting leaders to be confident, constructive and capable of inspiring lasting change across their teams and organisations.
