Content Creation and Yearbook Manager

Sydney Church of England Grammar School

North Sydney, NSW

Posted on: 16 February 2026

Closing date: 2 March, 2026

Shore is one of Australia’s leading independent schools, known for academic excellence, authentic Christian faith, and the spirit of belonging that defines our community. Our staff play a vital role in nurturing this environment and supporting students and families throughout their journey at the School. A little bit about the role:

This role is for someone who loves being close to the action. As Content Creation Manager, you will be out in the school capturing moments, noticing details, and turning lived experience into thoughtful, engaging content across digital, print and social platforms.

You will work closely with students, staff and families, gathering stories with care and accuracy. You will also project manage and edit The Torchbearer, shaping a publication that thoughtfully records each year in the life of the school.

No two days look the same, and the work is varied, creative and people centered.

To be successful, you will:

  • Enjoy being in the middle of school life, moving between classrooms, rehearsals, games, chapel and events, camera or notebook in hand
  • Have an instinct for noticing moments that matter, even when they’re small or fleeting, and turning them into stories worth sharing
  • Be equally comfortable writing a considered piece of long – form copy, shaping a social post, or editing images and video for timely use across channels
  • Bring sound editorial judgement, knowing when to step in, when to step back, and how to handle stories involving children and families with care and discretion
  • Bring care and intention to managing the team’s content calendar, leading weekly content meetings that ensure planning is aligned and output feels cohesive
  • Be confident in taking initiative and moving work forward, while remaining highly collaborative and responsive to the team and a wide range of stakeholders
  • Enjoy the quiet satisfaction of managing The Torch Bearer Yearbook as a significant project; coordinating contributors, liaising with external suppliers, tracking timelines, refining copy and ensuring the final publication faithfully records the year
  • Be organised enough to manage multiple deadlines without losing sight of detail, accuracy or tone.
