Between the Wellington Railway Station and the beautiful ground to Parliament, and opposite the historic Law Library, New Zealand’s original Government Buildings and the oldest wooden structure in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Summit venue entrance is via the south facing foyer doors (directly opposite The Law Library). Registration will be located on the mezzanine floor, with signage in place.

To ensure equity of access to the NZ Chapter Summit, the Summit Committee is offering a limited number of needs-based Educate Plus Travel Grants for the event being held in Wellington on Tuesday, 19 & Wednesday, 20 August 2025.
Grants are available to all members in any role. They are not merit-based. If you or your colleague(s) require financial support for travel costs, please apply. Grants range from $150 – $500 dependent upon each applicant’s travel costs. Special consideration will be given to those who need to fly to, and stay overnight in Wellington.
Applications close on Friday 20 June 2025.

Private Tour of Parliament: The tour is one hour and takes in 3 buildings of the Parliamentary precinct and covers How Parliament works, some history and architecture of the building.
You should arrive at the main entrance of the Beehive at 10.15 am, which is 15 minutes before the start of your tour at 10.30 am to give the group time to clear security and check in at the Visitor Centre before the tour starts. In preparation for screening, we ask that everyone should remove everything from their pockets (including keys, coins, mobiles etc.) and place these in their bags. All belongings, including bags, food, drink, sunglasses, and hats will be stored in our secure cloakroom during your visit. Registration is required and this is free tour.
Old St Paul’s Cathedral: A self guided tour of Old St Pauls at 34 Mulgrave Street which is several minutes walk from Rutherford House
The building served a dual role as the parish church of Thorndon and the pro-cathedral (provisional cathedral) of the Diocese of Wellington of the Anglican Church between 1866 and 1964. It exemplifies 19th-century Gothic Revival architecture adapted to colonial conditions and materials, and stands at 34 Mulgrave Street, Pipitea, close to Parliament Buildings. No registration is required and this is free tour.
Tour of Queen Margaret College: Meet at 4,30 pm for a tour of Queen Margaret College before the Welcome Event. Founded in one of Wellington’s oldest inner suburbs, Queen Margaret College’s unique mix of heritage and modern buildings enhances the learning of their students. Registration is required and this is free tour.
Old Government Buildings (Law Library): A self-guided tour across from Rutherford House. No registration is required and this is free tour.
