A colleague at a Victorian school drew my attention to the Melbourne Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation’s ‘Youth in Philanthropy‘ initiative, which sounds fantastic. I’d love to involve my school in something similar, to help accelerate the culture of philanthropy and at the same time enhance our girls’ education. Is anyone aware of something similar here in Sydney/NSW, as my initial online search has drawn a blank?
If there isn’t a wider program that we can tap into, I am also thinking about how we might operate something smaller, just within the school. If anyone has already tried this, I’d be really grateful to hear how it has gone?
Many thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,
I hope you’re well.
This is a fabulous initiative and I recall hearing about similar ones…….I just don’t remember if it was here or US.
I’ll search my network and connect you with the schools/individuals when something comes up.
It may actually be under a ‘social enterprise’ (entrepreneurship) banner or student leadership. (HigherEd sector??)
Leave it with me and I’ll be in touch.
Take care and talk soon.
Bobbi
Thanks for the speedy and helpful reply Bobbi – as always!
