The role
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced fundraiser to join our high-performing team of development professionals in the role of Legacy Giving Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Advancement, the Legacy Giving Manager is responsible for managing and growing a comprehensive bequest program. Included in this is securing planned gifts and bequests, marketing planned giving opportunities to prospects and donors, and stewarding members of the School’s bequest group, the Sequamur Society.
Well-developed communication skills and a commitment to excellence in client service are essential for you to thrive in this part time (0.6FTE) role. In return for your dedication to raising awareness of our Bequest program, you will be afforded flexible working conditions and the opportunity to make a significant impact on giving at Brighton Grammar School.
To be successful in this rare opportunity, you will require:
- Experience in bequest fundraising, or fundraising in general, with a proven track record of success in this field.
- A high degree of discretion and reliability for confidentiality in managing the Bequest program.
- Excellent communication skills and inter-personal relations.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritise work flow.
- The ability to make sound judgements, coordinate activities and meet deadlines without supervision.
- Demonstrated proficiency and competence in a range of IT programs including Synergetic (preferred) and the full suite of Microsoft Office programs including MS Teams.
- Familiarity with an educational environment would be highly regarded.
- A current Working with Children Check and Police check or the willingness to obtain these prior to commencing.
