Swan Christian College was established in 1983 and today it is a non-denominational, co-educational College with around 1550 students in Years K-12. Swan Christian College is owned and operated by Swan Christian Education Association and is situated in metropolitan Perth at the gateway to the picturesque Swan Valley. The College has a well-developed Christian education philosophy and breadth of programs that aim to promote a strong sense of belonging and a spirit of hospitality and generosity.
About The Role
The Principal seeks to appoint a Head of Advancement (HOA) who understands the importance of strategic marketing, communication, community engagement branding, alumni, fundraising and events. This is a Senior position reporting to the Business Manager and ultimately the Principal. The main purpose of this role will be to enable exceptional community engagement by leading the Advancement Team. The Head of Advancement will strengthen a suite of support services anchored in community engagement, thereby strengthening a strategic enrolment pipeline, philanthropic energy and quality experiences for stakeholders. The Head of Advancement will be a strategic and contemporary thinker with a growth mindset and significant experience in a similar leadership role. It is also essential that your skill set includes exceptional communication and relationship management, a collaborative approach, experience building a positive team culture, experience leading and successfully implementing strategic projects and relevant tertiary qualifications. As such, the role is varied, fast-paced, and strives to ensure that students, parents/guardians, staff, and other members of the College community are engaged in a manner that is supportive of the College’s vision, mission and values.

Importantly, they will have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church, so they can encourage excellence in our service to our College community and key stakeholders.
This is a full-time position, commencing in January 2024.
