The Position
The Director of Development and Community Relations is a key member of the College’s Leadership Team. They assist and support the Principal in all aspects of school leadership.
They are responsible for the strategic direction and operations of the College’s Development Department, which consists of four staff members. Working collaboratively with the team, staff and members of the wider community they manage and lead, ensuring effective and efficient promotion of the College.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- College Leadership
- Leadership and Management of the Development Office
- Marketing, Brand Management and Publications/Content
- Engagement
- Enrolment and Retention
- Community and Events
- Past Pupil (Alumnae) Relations
- Fundraising
- Brand, Collateral and Merchandise
- Archives and History Oversight
About You
Key Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Previous experience working in an equivalent role
- Demonstrable experience and success in maintaining / developing a comprehensive marketing program within a Secondary College environment
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven ability to lead an effective and cohesive team
- Proven ability to manage projects, work to deadlines and account against budget
- Previous experience in a Catholic secondary school (advantageous)
- Current Member of Catholic Development Network and Educate Plus (advantageous)
- Effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills to present a professional, personable and knowledgeable image
- Able to work effectively, collaboratively, independently and creatively within a team environment
- Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Excellent organisational, time management and attention to detail skills
- Ability to produce informative enrolment reports and analysis
- A commitment to ongoing professional learning and development
- Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and an understanding of the importance of charism and spiritual tradition in the life of an order-owned Catholic school
- A commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children
A current Working with Children Check (employee) and National Police Check are essential requirements for this position or current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
This position is full time, ongoing. Ideally commencing 20 January 2025.
