Jon Yeo 1.6mb
Since 2009, Jon Yeo has been the curator and license holder for TEDxMelbourne, an independently organized TED event. Today, TEDxMelbourne events fill 900 seat auditoriums in days and still holds a State Library record sell out of 90 minutes. In 2014, TEDxMelbourne had almost 2M mentions in social media. During that time he developed a framework for delivering messages with impact. Jon was selected to represent the ANZ region for TEDx organizers at the official TED organizers’ workshop held at TED in 2011 and presents at global TED and TEDx organizers’ “best practice” summits all over the world.
When not volunteering for TEDxMelbourne he is a business and speaker coach and consultant focusing on productivity, engagement and brand experiences though events.
Jon was selected as a panel member at the request of Telstra (alongside Lindsay Fox and Barry Simpson – now ex-CIO Coca Cola Amatil) to represent the future of business to 50 international ICT analysts including Gartner, Forrester and IDC. He is also part of the Ministerial Round Table (Melbourne 2040). A working group with the Ministerial Advisory Committee to focus on key issues for Melbourne in the next 30 years.
In particular, Jon is interested in addressing the needs and values of future generations who focus on Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainability and business with purpose.
Today, Jon speaks and consults in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Singapore. Jon is a Board Member for various local and international Not-for-Profit organisations.
