    Hi Stephen,
When I was at St Michael’s Grammar School (https://www.stmichaels.vic.edu.au/discover/facilitiesandhire/), we had a dedicated person in this role, however this role also covered partnerships with our Extended Tuition Program as there was often crossover with providers. From memory it was often school/child related activity e.g. a weekly local basketball tournament, dance academy, coding club, the occasional polling day. It didn’t often clash with school activity however alot of planning and meetings went into organising the major dates for the next year to avoid this.
    Cheers, Shannon

Hi Philippa, We charge a set price of $55pp (+ bf) for most our reunions – this is the cost passed onto us from our on campus caterer for a 2.5hr event which includes 3x substantial canapes (eg walk and fork style, fish and chips, bao bun, butter chicken w/ veg options); and red, white, sparkling and beer. We find we get much more value (and better feedback) when hosting at the local pub (as we did earlier in the year when still restricting on campus visitation, with more beverage choices, more food) but the School prefers the on campus connection. It’s likely to increase in 2023 with rising costs indicated by the caterer.
The one exception is the 5 year reunion at a slightly lower price of $45pp in recognition of this cohort being more likely to still be studying. This is subsidised by the school so the package doesn’t change, and is always held at the local pub which works for this age. Our local pub is a long time supporter, not charging min spend or venue hire and holds a space for us regardless of event size.
We haven’t had attendees ask about a non-alcoholic package, however we would likely simply partially refund their ticket accordingly and then implement wrist-banding or similar to manage it on the night.
