For years the profession has been trying to figure out the best way to use social media and active communication to engage alumni and donors. So, now with this new way of digital working as different regions move in and out of restrictions, it is time to ask – are we really doing it? Jayden is the Alumni Relations Officer – Virtual Engagement in The University of Western Australia with vast knowledge of all things creative and digital, having worked as a Digital Art Director and Web Designer for many years. Jayden specialises in active communications, story-telling, digital strategy and finding ways to feature alumni voices in every aspect of uni life.


Fred Lee 
Director Alumni Engagement
Alumni – University of British Columbia, Canada

Fred is the Director of Alumni Engagement at the University of British Columbia. A UBC graduate, Fred serves in a leadership role at alumni UBC. Fred and his team lead efforts to meaningfully increase engagement and build influence among UBC’s community of more than 60,000 students on two campuses, and almost 400,000 alumni globally.

Fred is co-founder of UBC’s CampOUT, a summer leadership program for queer youth. He is a member of UBC CampOUT’s Community Advisory and chair of the fundraising committee. Additionally, Fred serves on various non-profits and is an esteemed contributor to various media outlets.
