Meet Our Panel of Experts
David has an extensive background in sales and marketing which includes twenty years of experience in the fast moving consumer goods industry. In a career founded on solid business relationships, he now manages a loyal network of Old Boys and continually provides opportunities for them to remain connected with each other and the wider school community. David is a Member of the QLD Educate Plus Committee and currently serves as the Treasurer, after previously serving as Secretary. David holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Queensland University of Technology.
Lara is the Director of Philanthropy and Stakeholder Engagement at St Margaret’s AGS, leading the school’s fundraising, sponsorship and alumni engagement initiatives with St Margaret’s Foundation, Old Girls’ Association, P&F and Professional Women’s Network. She is passionate about the support of education, and has spent the previous nine years in the tertiary education sector with The University of Queensland in a variety of external engagement and fundraising focused roles. Prior to her role at St Margaret’s, she was the Associate Director, Alumni & Community Engagement, within UQ’s Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology. Lara is a Member of the QLD Educate Plus Committee and the Fundraising Stream Chair. Lara holds a Master of Business from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Mass Communication (Public Relations and Journalism) from the University of Southern Queensland.
Peter Collin BA BEd MEd DipT
Archivist, Anglican Church Grammar School
Formerly Head of the Preparatory School at Churchie (2003-2012), Peter has been the Archivist at Churchie since 2013. During a long career in education, he has worked in eight schools across NSW, ACT and QLD. Peter is passionate about the history of schools and the development of culture, in order to develop in students an understanding and appreciation of ‘where we’ve come from’.
