Leading for Improvement Webinar – Everyone’s a Leader

Join us for the Leadership focused webinar organised by the NZ Chapter.

Dr Frauke Meyer will talk about key aspects of effective leadership aimed at organisational improvement. A brief overview of system level leadership will be followed by a more close investigation of interpersonal leadership practices that are needed to lead improvement and work with individual staff, teams, and the wider organisation.  

While Frauke’s research is situated in schools, she draws on organisational theory and improvement science and she will discuss ideas and practices that are applicable across organisational contexts.

Dr Frauke Meyer,  Senior Lecturer,
Faculty of Education and Social Work,
University of Auckland

Dr Frauke Meyer is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at Waipapa Taumata Rau – University of Auckland.

She teaches in the Master of Educational Leadership. Her research focuses on school leadership, school improvement, and interpersonal leadership practices. The immediate focus of her research are leadership practices that foster school improvement and create equity in outcomes. In her research, she works closely with schools and school leaders to build effective and strategic system leadership.

Frauke has presented and published her research internationally at conferences and in high quality journals. She recently published a practitioner book with Dr Linda Bendikson entitled: It’s not Rocket Science: A Guide to the School Improvement Cycle.
