Excellence Webinar Series – Alumni and/or Community Publication
Welcome to our fifth Excellence Webinar Series where we will be showcasing the 2022 Alumni and/or Community Publication winners. This is an excellent professional development opportunity to learn about best practice, share the challenges and achievements.
Alumni publications are such an essential connection tool for any educational institution and we would like to share two quite special Alumni publications in this Excellence Series.
Rebecca Bauer from Somerville House will share how following a PR disaster in 2017, the Old Girls’ Association and the School has been focused on re-building strong relationships with its Alumni. This is an excellent case study of how an alumnae-only focused publication transformed to a whole school community publication, promoting trust and partnership across stakeholders.
Susan McGinley, from The Womens’ College at UQ will describe how FREDA came into being. The judges’ praise noted that this brand new publication was extremely well-researched and well-executed. It achieved all its objectives to link community, celebrate achievements and increase philanthropic support of alumnae.
