WA Chapter Conference: 13 Sept 2017

Join us for our 2017 WA Chapter Conference where you will experience change first hand not only through our great line-up of speakers but through our new-look conference format.

We have listened to your feedback and it was time to create the change. This year we will take you away from the office for only one day but in lieu of day two, will provide you with an array of tailored webinars that you can view with your team at your leisure over the next six months.

Conference price includes the Full Day Conference including Cocktail Party at the conclusion of the sessions.  It also includes access to a selection of webinars that will be covering all four pillars and presented by local, interstate and international speakers.

Conference Schedule: 

8.30 am - Registration
9.00 am – Welcome
9.15 am to 5.30 pm – Sessions covering all pillars
5.30 pm to 7.30 pm – Networking Drinks

SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND:

Educate Plus recognises the importance of providing members with ongoing opportunities for professional development. To make the WA Chapter Conference more accessible for our regional, small, low fee-paying or new member organisations, five $400 scholarships are on offer to help cover the cost of registration and other expenses to attend the conference.

Eligibility criteria - To be eligible candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

1.     Candidates must be a Full Member of Educate Plus. Those with Associate Membership will need to pay an additional $100 (ex GST) to become a Full Member. If you are not a member, you may wish to consider joining so that you can access this scholarship. (www.educateplus.edu.au/membership/join/)
2.     Candidates must work in either: A regional institution (i.e. tertiary/schools) OR a small and/or low fee paying institution OR a newly established institution.

Please complete the Scholarship Application Form. The form should then be emailed to waconference@educateplus.edu.au by 1 September.

Successful applicants will be notified by 4 September.

SPEAKERS:

Keynote Speaker: David Faulkner

Dave is the CEO and co-founder of Education Changemakers, and as one of Australia’s most awarded educators has vast experience leading change at the school, regional and national level. An expert in the development of education leaders, with a proven track record at the highest levels, Dave matches a powerful grasp on grassroots realities with strong insights at system level.

Keynote Speaker: Rebecca Cody

A committed leader and proactive strategist, Rebecca Cody believes that society is shaped by education and her vision has been rewarded with her recent appointment as Principal of Geelong Grammar School, arguably Australia's most pre-eminent school. In 2012 Rebecca received a WA Business News 40-under-40 award for her change management at her current school, Methodist Ladies’ College in Claremont, and was the University of Western Australia’s Strategic Alliance winner. Rebecca is currently an appointed member of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority’s Advisory Committee, and an elected Board member of the Association of Independent Schools of WA. Her PhD research centres on self-efficacy judgments about leadership.
