NEWCOMER AWARD – Apply
The Educate Plus Newcomer Award recognises an Educate Plus member who commenced working in the field of educational advancement since the beginning of the previous Educate Plus International Conference year.
It recognises that the recipient has made an immediate contribution to their institution through their work and is an encouragement for them to remain in the industry.
Nominees must satisfy the following criteria:
- Have commenced working in the field of educational advancement since the beginning of the previous Educate Plus International Conference year (i.e. July 2018)
- Be a financial member of Educate Plus.
- Have demonstrated involvement in their Educate Plus Chapter (e.g. by attending Professional Development, registering for the Educate Plus mentor program, etc.)
- Exemplify the highest standards of ethical conduct.
MENTOR AWARD – Apply
The Educate Plus Mentor Award recognises an Educate Plus member who has provided a strong sense of motivation and encouragement, a willingness to share ideas and experiences and provided practical support to their mentee through their participation in the Educate Plus Mentor Program.
Nominees must satisfy the following criteria:
- Be a financial member of Educate Plus.
Nominated mentors will be judged on the following criteria:
- Regular contact with the mentee (at least quarterly over the previous 12 months)
- Has instilled a strong sense of support and solidarity to the mentee
- Has given considered, professional and effective advice
- Positive demonstrated outcomes for the mentee from the advice provided
- Demonstrated a willingness to exceed the expectations of the mentee
VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP AWARD – Apply
The Educate Plus Volunteer Leadership Award was introduced in 2008 to pay tribute to the strong contributions of our volunteers who advance education in Australasia.
Nominees must satisfy the following criteria:
o Be a volunteer who has not received any or minimal compensation for their contribution/s.
o Have an outstanding ability to create a vision and inspire other volunteers and staff.
o Increase the stature of their school / institution in the wider community.
o Exemplify the highest standards of ethical conduct.
INSTITUTIONAL LEADER AWARD – Apply
The Educate Plus Institutional Leadership Award recognises an educational leader who has supported and contributed to the role of advancement in their school / institution.
Nominees must satisfy the following criteria:
o Be a Principal, Vice-Chancellor, Board Member or Chair of Foundation (or equivalent) at a school / institution in Australasia.
o Have demonstrated outstanding ability to promote and support the advancement function within their school / institution and the wider community.
o Have been personally involved at a significant level in an advancement initiative or initiatives.
TREVOR WIGNEY AWARD – Application process
- The Trevor Wigney Award is Educate Plus’ most prestigious recognition of a member for outstanding service in educational advancement in Australasia.
- It recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution through exceptional advancement success and who have advanced the professionalism of their colleagues by mentoring and giving generously of their time, expertise, vision and conviction.
- Nominations for the Trevor Wigney Award are made by Educate Plus Chapter Presidents.
Fellowship
Educate Plus members are awarded a prestigious Fellowship of our organisation. This is in recognition of lengthy service and high achievement by senior members of the profession and their outstanding work in the area of advancement and for their support of our organisation and its members.
