Coronavirus Update

Educate Plus is closely monitoring the consequences of the current COVID – 19 virus and using an abundance of caution to safeguard our members and staff involved with Educate Plus. We are being guided by State and Federal Government agencies on the management of our activities which vary across the membership. Please check out our events page for immediate updates on any events that are postponed or provided as an online event. All registered participants will be notified immediately should there be any necessary alterations to venues or delivery of events.

The situation is very fluid and we have action plans in place if things should escalate. We appreciate that your institution may place restrictions on your movements and we anticipate that there will be cancellations and changes until there is more certainty about the impact and spread of the virus. As professionals who daily employ good communication practices, we will keep you abreast of our decisions and ask that you do the same as soon as you are able to. In the event of Government agencies changing their stance on gatherings and/or internal travel we will issue a further statement.

We understand that all your institutions are grappling with this at the moment and we wish you well over the forthcoming months. It is at these times our Educate Plus networks are so valuable, as we support and share our collective wisdom for the benefit of all our communities.

With confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Australia, it is important that we all undergo due diligence and best practice to safeguard our communities. Please refer to the links provided below that will direct you World Health Organisation and Australian Government Health websites if you would like further information and regular updates. They also provide an overview of symptoms and appropriate actions that may be taken to reduce risk of infection as well as some resources for you to review / share with your teams as you feel appropriate.
